i've loved sports for as long as i can remember. towards the end of high school i found my answer to the difficult but frequently asked question of "what do you want to be when you grow up?" i was a member of the yearbook committee during my senior year and i worked on the sports section.
fast forward to a college visit in the spring of senior year. i read through their student newspaper and noticed that all of the sports articles were written by just one person. i remember thinking, "this guy needs some help."
four years later, i've started a sports blog. aside from my portfolio website, my go-to place to discuss anything sports related. "breakaways and butterflies" is derived from two of my favorite hockey terms. what's better than a breakaway play or your goalie's butterfly position to stop the puck? not much.
